Are the games impossible to find?  Are the cabs inpossible to find?

I haven't seen one since the mid-80's   :-\

And I don't hear about them too much on RGVAC. If you're willing to pay, someone will have one for sale.

Theres been talk about preliminary support for this in the Daphne emulator for ages. The laserdisc image can be found on the web, as can the roms from the acutal PCB.

The problem is that the laserdisc players in these games were notorious for breaking, and when one gave up the ghost, interest in that particular game had usually faded so it was not economical for the arcade owner to have it sorted (most didn't know it was a relatively simple d.i.y. repair). I know of two arcades that simply scrapped the units, pcbs, discs etc from firefox cabs and converted them to other games.

Shame that, I used to love Firefox (even though there wasn't much of a game there really IMHO!!)
