Title: Arcade VGA on 15kHz monitor pics
Post by: Pyronious on May 28, 2003, 06:04:36 pm
I took an interesting series of pictures yesterday for my site and thought I'd share them with the folks here.  Basically a "powers of 10" style zoom-in from my cab all the way down to RGB Triad structure.

These images are being generated by the ArcadeVGA board connected to a 29" Hitachi arcade monitor via the J-PAC. Each image is approximately double the magnification of the previous. Enjoy.

I have to say I just love the look of those glowing RGB triads. Yum!

I have to agree.

This is pretty sick.  The rest of the world is doing everything they can to get rid of scan lines, and we're struggling to get them back  :D

Well it's been 8 years since I put these pictures up and the world has officially moved away from CRT monitors.  This is now the last CRT display I own!  Everything else has gone LCD.  I'll never forget the 80's arcade scene when you could walk in and be surrounded by the warm glow of phosphor...
