Amazon was selling these for $69.99 the other day so I picked it up. Now, how can one tell if they got the FIXED Stereo version or the broken MONO version?
-
If you're not sure, you don't need the fixed version. :P
The original version was in mono, the new one plays in stereo.

Uh, I get this... but is there a way to determine WITHOUT trying to listen to decipher if the output is in Stereo/Surround Sound or mono? Is there a different package? A different serial number? A different SOMETHING?

Alright...just found out from Activision that if the GREEN CHOICE logo on the back of the box is WHITE, that is the remastered version. If it is colored, that is the old version.

Thanks for the info. I picked one up during the gold box deal too. I had a $50 credit for buying and hd-dvd player from amazon, so I ended up only paying $15 for the game.

BTW: I got the remastered version from Amazon...

How can I tell if I no longer have the box but only the game case and the game?

There is a STAR at the bottom of the disc...if you have the STAR, you're gold...if not, it's the old version.
-
Can you show me a pic of the star on your Disc cause I don't see any star on mines.
