Title: wireless gamepads and hacking?

Ok did a quick search and seen way back in the old days (2004) some of you had my great idea, but from the threads i read nobody ever finished or completed one? What i want to do is make a control panel that i can set on my lap and be wireless. I had thouhgt a little about a wireless keyboard, but my guess is most of those wont take more then one or two keypressed at the same time. So i started looking at gamepads for the PC. Did anybody ever hack one? If so waht did you use? I was thinking of the MS Xbox one, its PC compatible, and should ahve all the conections i would ever need. A bit pricey, but if it works or could work that would be ok. Room has became an Issue and the old Cab i built in.. ekkk! 2000ish? is showing its age, back in those OLD days we didnt have neon and lighted buttons and all the cool stuff we have now! My old cab, well Looks like and Old cab. I had thought about steal......er borrowing a few of the cool ideas here and building a new one, but floorspace is starting to be a bigger consdieration, and besides i like sitting on the couch (I'm lazy).

SO did anybody hack a wireless PC gamepad? any succes?

Never tried a wireless PC gamepad... but you could get a Wireless Xbox 360 controller and use the dongle.

I've done it with a wireless XBOX 360 controller and use it all the time
I originally did it for the XBOX 360 live arcade games, but the dongle lets me use in for mame on my PC and even my Mac

thanks Bender, exactly what i was looking for. I did search, but I guess i need to work on my keywords  :)   thanks again! Any chance you have some more detailed info on the 360 pad? soldier points?
