Title: Jamma Cab Project
Post by: gojira26 on April 17, 2008, 10:29:51 pm
Ok so I JUST got this MK1 arcade like 3 days ago for free, but from searching around, it seems its a custom built one. heres a few pics (crappy phone ones)

I have a few questions, first off...ive read around on this board and some other sites enough to know that it is in fact jamma, ive already gutted the panel so i can put a new graphic in, and found that it is using microswitches and not the leaf ones...i also founf out why i cant do flips while playing, because the joysticks are 4-way and not 8-way haha.

Ok heres the few questions, my goal for now is simple.....i want to run UMK3 in this thing. Im wandering if i need a different power supply, or anyhting else that needs to be switched out. Also i think this is pretty self explanitory but....if i get the UMK3 jamma, do i also need to get the sound board...? or is it integrated (i dunno if thats what you would call it)

and last but not least, any idea on what game this was originally?? or is it just a custom cab?

UMK3 should just pop straight in place of MK (the beauty of jamma!) you should'nt need to change anything PSU wise providing it all work's properly at the moment. There are a few MK experts on here but as far as I know you will get a seperate soundboard with the mainboard from wherever you buy/get it from.

Regards.

That's what my Mamecab was. It was an Arch Rival and it looked just like that (however not as good) Before and after pics.
