I found a 33" showcase cabinet with point blank 2 in it for $250 (Is this a good deal?). I have a few questions. I looked on KLOV and searched net for information on Point Blank 2 and I can't seem to find whether it was a standard or med resolution game. The monitor in the game looks perfect but is this a med resolution monitor. Did Atari showcase 33" come standard with a certain kind of monitor or was the cabinet sold alone. If this is a medium resolution monitor does advance mame work well with it for older games. Do I need a signal booster to get the signal to a higher level from say the ipac device if I were to use advancemame with a med res monitor? I hooked up a computer using soft 15khz to my cherry master machine monitor and the picture was very dim is this a symptom of a signal needing boosted Could there possile be a Wg 9400 in the cabinet already or is this just dreaming. Anyway $250 does'nt seem bad for such a great cabinet.

The majority of showcase cabs I have seen came with a Sharp Image monitor, either a SI series or KT series (rebranded Kortek). The resolution depended on the game.
I seem to recall that Point Blank 2 had switchable resolution, but I could be wrong.
So really there could be any monitor in that cab, might even be a switchable res monitor. The only way you are going to know for sure is to look at it, get a model number or pic of the chassis.
As for the price, $250 seems like a very good deal. Regardless of the monitor type, if the tube is still bright and sharp the monitor itself is probably worth that. 33" monitors ain't cheap!

yeah a working showcase for $250.00 is a steal no matter what type monitor as long as it works.
most the larger display's are duel or tri res usually.
like mentioned above get a picture if possible or worst case if it is not the res you need sell it and get a gateway destination DL-31 or DL-33 vga or something
