Title: Dr.Mario PCB, and Nintendo Monitor
Post by: chuggy on May 28, 2003, 12:15:05 am
I just finnally gave into pulling out my sanyo monitor, and using a TV instead. So i have a working Sanyo monitor, and a Dr. Mario PCB either for sale or for trade. make me an offer. I need pretty much anything you can imagine from computer stuff to buttons. LOL.

Well I could surely use a monitor, but I can't afford to buy it. What size is it? What would you want in trade?

I'll be getting up to 8 available red buttons, 2 joysticks, 20feet of red t-molding. I have a 64MB portable MP3 player. Ummm... any of that interest you?

Where do you live at chuggy? I have good trade stuff and an empty cabinet that would like to have your Dr. Mario parts.

I kind of live in Bumble #$@&. LaCrosse, WI to be exact. It's about 4 hours from chicago, 3 from milwaukee, 2 from the twin cities, and 1.5 from madison. The monitor is a 19" sanyo, and im looking for controls or maybe a barebones computer thats adequate for running mame. Those are the only things i need to finish my cab, i have controls but they are a bit sticky.

What class of games do you want to be able to run, etc etc? I'm that guy who you were going to buy the DK cab from :)

IM not sure. i'd like to be able to run a pretty wide selection. Im not looking for anything spectacular, I dont exactly know what kind of system i should be looking to get for this sort of trade. Im looking for at least a 500 mhz processor, whether thats too much to ask or not i do not know.

Just curious, why did you decide not to use the Sanyo in your cab? I've got a working machine that would play all the classics just fine that I could swap you for the monitor while you're looking for a better machine.

There are a few reasons that i didnt use the monitor.

1. It would require an inversion circuit which i could get built from our local tech school but not till the end of june.

2. I would need to buy a arcade vga card for $90.

3. im cheap

4. i have a 19" TV with video outs.

So thats where im at! What kind of system do you have? Im lookin for about 300-500mhz.
