Vídeo: Over screenshot effect with MameWah (NEW)

This is the firt time than I saw this in MameWah. I did it with a easy trick, using a semi-transparent gif over the screenshot frame. The result is awesome!

This Mamehah layout was inspired on "Castlevania saga", specifically "Castlevania Curse of Darness".

I hope you enjoy this vídeo:

thanks for the info. I was wondering about this.
Now I understand how to make monitor edges around the video.

Very nice.

I was thinking of running a composite on all of my screenshots to get the same effect. Needless to say yours is a MUCH better method!

I haven't tried it yet, but it looks as though you.....
Wait....
Now that I'm trying to explain it, I'm not so sure myself.....

Hi again!

The difference between this picture:

And this:

is it:

Otherwise, a gif with transparent part.

I realized that some frame pictures in Mamewah layout design are over others. I only built a group of images per emulador with the same name than my Mame snapshot, for example. I did it automatically though a "bat" archieve. This "bat" created  gif images with the same name than "zip roms" or others. In the emulator "ini" I path the gif images in "artwork 10". This is all!

I delay in all process of rename 1 sec.

Greetings

now that you've explained it, it's something I won't bother with.

Thanks for pointing it out for others, though.

I realized that some frame pictures in Mamewah layout design are over others.

Well spotted...I hadn't thought of exploiting that in this way! Good stuff :)

Thanks, guys!

I found than this overimage could be more easily with "no-art.gif" (in this case no-art10.gif). We will only need one image than we will ever see over the screenshot game, because images "artwork 10" is unavailable. Of course, we will need to path in "ini" file the folder of artwork 10 with "no-art10.gif".
