Title: MALA - changing games resolutions
Post by: styxx on April 14, 2008, 06:46:51 pm
Can anyone tell me if it's possible to individually change the resolution of games in MAME command line with  MALA?
I have an ArcadeVGA card with an Arcade Monitor (PoloStar), and allready used the AVRES utility to generate the mame.xml.
The problem is that some games, have querky resolutions, and i would like to change them manually.
I've always done this easily with mame+ but with MALA I'm... :banghead:

If anyone can help me...

Mala doesn't need to be part of this.  You only need to create an ini file in the ini subfolder of the mame folder that has the same name as the rom.  For example, pacman.ini.  This game specific ini can have all of the same settings as mame.ini.  If the resolution is the only thing you want to be different for a specfic game, then the ini file only the needs the resolution parameter.
For example:
Code: [Select]
resolution         640x480

Thanks a bunch!
I will get to it right away...Thought the only thing that controlled the resolutions in MAME Command Line was the MAME.XML.
