Title: How to quicky page through MAME titles in Mala (alphabetically)?
Post by: billpa on April 13, 2008, 11:57:43 am
I know I have come across this before but I cannot find it through searching. I have a few hundred games in MAME and I want be able to quickly get through the list ie A's. B's, C's etc. How do I set this up?

Thanks
Bill

Its in the options under controller>keyboard>basic>letter up / letter down (http://wiki.arcadecontrols.com/wiki/MaLa_FAQ#How_to_skip_games_in_list.3F)

Another method is to create a separate gamelist per letter.  It looks kind of cool scrolling sideways to a new gamelist per letter and then up and down for the game.  If you find it cumbersome, or require further organization look into using Mala tree.

NickG, how do you get MaLa to scroll sideways when going from one list to the next?  My MaLa just "jumps" from one list to the next w/ no scrolling action... :[   That might be keen to try the way you describe...

Thanks,
-J
