Title: 24V DC 1A Power Supply in UK.
Post by: Fozzy The Bear on April 12, 2008, 11:25:06 am
Hi guys.... does anybody have a 24V DC power supply they want to get rid of??  Needs to be at least 1A output.

I just aquired a Logitech Momo steering wheel and pedals, but unfortunately it has no PSU with it and it needs a 24V DC one acording to the back panel. Logitech don't seem to sell them as spares. If anybody has one please drop me a PM and let me know how much you want for it.

I'm told that some laptop PSU's output this voltage as well so if you have an old 24V laptop PSU that  outputs 24V DC at 1A or more, again please PM me and let me know how much you want.

Hi Julian,

Just been having a look round online for you.

Ive found this (http://www.distel.co.uk/asps/details1.asp?ID=SY99) one. 240v AC>24VDC 2.2A, seems a bit expensive though, £22.95 (plus P&P at a guess) and it looks like its used.

I also found this (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/25-50W-2-5-AMP-24V-24-VOLT-DC-DESKTOP-POWER-SUPPLY-PSU_W0QQitemZ170209393493QQihZ007QQcategoryZ96942QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) one on ebay 240V AC>24V DV, 2.5A, £16.99 + £4 P&P. Still expensive but at least its new

Found this (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/120W-UNIVERSAL-AC-DC-LAPTOP-POWER-ADAPTOR-15-24V-UK_W0QQitemZ250236300053QQihZ015QQcategoryZ64471QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) one on ebay too. 240V>24V DC max 5A £4 + £12 P&P

Hopefully you will be able to get one off someone on the boards cheaper but thats a couple of possible options if not.

Hi Julian,

Just been having a look round online for you.

Thanks for your help Franco.... I got the wheel and pedals for £3 and hope I can track down a power supply for it. but I don't know if it works yet, so I'm trying not to spend too much money on it. I'm off to Penzance tomorrow, so I'm going to give the electrical wholesalers a try.

Best Regards,
