Hi Everyone. I just completed a second version of the Golden Tee Cab. I built it for a friend who requested the Black/Blue color scheme and the neon side art. to cut down on the cost, the monitor is a 19" LCD rather than the Wells Gardner monitor. I think the LCD looks great, an I have always been a fan of the blue t-mold. I also moved the 2nd player joystick two inches more to the right. When playing golden tee on the last design the joystick interfered when you would putt using the "thumbs" method. IMHO, this cabinet design was not any easier the 2nd time around......

Here's another angle and a build pic....

 Very nice, & you are right, the LCD does look pretty good in there. I was afraid when I first read it that it would be all bezel but it don't look too bad. How much was it, if I may ask? And what software did you use?
-
My friend supplied the monitor. I believe he paid $229 for it. I have used less expensive monitors in the past, this one looks better than the past monitors.
-
I meant for the whole cab ;D
-
very nice cab. like the laid back design.
what year golden tee are you running?
-
I'm running all versions of Golden Tee associated with MAME.
-
looks great. If i remember correctly, it looks like the trackball on the new one is much more flush than the one you made before.
great job on another great golden tee machine.
which version of GT are you running that is in the picture?
-
phishpac - I mounted the trackball exactly the same as the machine before this one. Something must have thrown you off on the previous pictures. I think the GT game running in that picture is 2k Tournament edition. I must have over 20 different GT roms on the machine, don't you?

No =[
I'm building my first cab, and everything is done except applying the cpo artwork, and wiring the ipac2
should be done in a week or so

I'd like to see pictures of your project but I cannot find the forum......
-
I don't plan on making a project announcement here on BYOAC for my cabinet until it is totally done. That way the viewers get instant gratification :P. I have been keeping up a blog and you can see my progress up to yesterday at http://phishpac.blogspot.com (http://phishpac.blogspot.com).

Wooohoo another GoldenTee.
I showed a few buddies the last one you built and it looks like we are going to try and build 3 at the same time. ;) Each with its own subtle look/feel, but none the less the same style of Cab.
I can't thank you enough for the sketches you posted.
-
Three at once? I'd be buried under sawdust. I'd really like to see photos of the works in progress. If you want to see any photos of my cab's being built just PM me with your e-mail and I'll send them over. Good luck! Let me know if I can assist in any way....

Great looking machine! How long did it take you to build that machine?
Also what is the latest mame version of golden tee?
-
Thanks.
I built it in about a week. I'm a Realtor, so I have more spare time than others to mess around in the shop, I can usually dedicate 25-40 hours in a week to get a cabinet done if you really light a fire under me!
I think the latest Golden Tee version is 2K Tournament.......
