Hi, I am running mame on vista x64 and when I run it from the command line, when I'm done playing and press esc it gives an eip=random string of numbers: ACCESS VIOLATION while attempting to write memory at again a random sequence of numbers but it seems to usually either be 00000000 or FFFFFFFF
then below there is a bunch of numbers and such like RAX=all zeroes and a bunch more XXX=yyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
anyone have any clues? Its 124 and I've had the problem with the binary downloaded from mamedev.org and one compiled myself with the hiscore support added. It doesn't seem to affect anything but just make me curious/wonder if it might be harming anything.
Thanks

If your getting that error using the official 64-bit binary I would probably report it as a bug on mameworld's "MAME Testers Forum".

I did report it this morning after posting here. I also narrowed the problem down more it seems now. If my wireless 360 controller is turned on it happens. If its off it doesn't. It doesn't happen with any of the 32 bit builds. But all the 64 bit builds exhibit it, the one compiled using your program and one from the mamedev website.
