Obviously the width of your marquee is denoted by the internal width between your side panels (plus any other constraints).
However, I'm interested to know how high most people's marquees are - I was going to pitch it at about 6" - 'average' ;D

Mine, in a conv Zero Point cab, is 7in high x 23.75in wide.

An original Defender marquee was 24-1/4 X 7-3/4 inches.
My current plan calls for 25 x 8 inches. I may decide to reduce the height a bit, though. I have a slight worry about the lower edge interfering with a taller player's sight line to the monitor.
Keep in mind the marquee retainer pieces will hide a bit of the top and bottom.

Especially if the top piece is installed with alot of slop in it ;) I have a former Robotron cab that was converted to Final Fight. I believe it has the same dimensions at Defender, but the FF marquee was slightly taller, and they left the screws on top loose so it would hold it in.

I'm not going to be much help here.
Mine vary from 3-1/2" to 10".
The 3-1/2" one is a replacement for the factory marquee on a Jaleco Pony cab.
My dedicated cabs all have marquees around 5-1/2".
The 10" is on a home-built.
I made it that big because I needed the room for the art I wanted, and I always liked the oversized marquee on the Sega Star Trek machines.
