Title: PC pinball machine?
Post by: Demon-Seed on April 06, 2008, 06:29:46 pm
Hello
I like playing visual pinball etc.. and was thinking of making a real machine sized cabinet hooked to a pc with all the games on it. I have seen it done before however I am having no luck locating examples. I have searched everywhere with little luck.  Can anyone assist me? Also wondering is it possible to have the playfield shown on a bottom lcd screen then at the same time have the pinball marquee on the top one??

thx
JIM

I've noticed this one before...looks like the website is falling apart tho
http://home.comcast.net/~ataritoday/wsb/html/view.cgi-home.html-.html

can't even get the whole thing from the wayback machine:

Not sure if this project will help (tried to control a pinball machine via pinmame)

I also found some more info (and videos) of the guy who posted the video.  It's hard to see but in some videos it looks like he has an even more complete version where he placed the LCD into a pinball machine.

Cool, looks like he also hooked up a tilt mechanism, not just a bump button

Hey
Gonzo yea I read that one this morning.. it was helpful. The one Spanish speaking guy Lord Hiyru made an awsome one.... however no info on how to do it.  That seems to be the problem, there is little info on how these things are made.  It is not as easy as popping in a tv into a pinmachine... configuring VP etc to work and show on dual screens etc.....is hard

thx

There's another on going discussion here (http://www.marcianitos.org/foro/showthread.php?t=11161). Lord Hiryu is part of it. Only problem is it's in spanish. You could try putting it through Babelfish.
