Posting this in case you have been living under a Donkey Kong rock.
I have the uprgade myself, and have seen it talked about on twin galaxies and klov but it hasn't got any love on this forum.
Just throwing it out there in case there are any King's of Kong here looking for a quite challenging addition to the 4 original DK boards.

I got it too
It Rocks! :applaud:
And it's really challenging
I'd highly recommend it for anyone with A DK cab!

HOW did I MISS that! :banghead:
Yes, it is very challenging. Not a big fan of the very first level though.
EDIT: that thread is nothing more than a legality discussion. I would rather talk about the gameplay of the D2K kit and not hit on anything like that other thread.

I am SO GLAD I MISSED that! :applaud:
Yes, it is very challenging. Not a big fan of the very first level though.
EDIT: that thread is nothing more than a pseudo-legal discussion with a some people impugning the work and motives of the author and a second group of people impugning the motives and morals of the first group. I would rather talk about the gameplay of the D2K kit and not have to hit anybody with Jumpman's hammer for ranting about people's double-standards.
Fixt.

D2K kicks ass. My best thus far is around 45K. I've gotten to the 3rd screen of the 2nd level...the damn oil "bits" kill me every time at the bottom left on that screen.

Cheffo, I didn't know you could read minds! :laugh2:

Good job Frizzle. I got to play this game a bunch of times last weekend at the Midwest Gaming Classic in Oconomowoc WI. I was eventually able to get to the 1st screen of the 2nd level, with some coaching from Jeff (the guy who did the game)...he was there too :) Was nice to meet him and chat with him about the game and how he came up with some of the screens and did the actual hack. Definitely alot harder than a regular Donkey Kong. A couple of the screens are a bit monotonous, but not really too much. I like the intermissions between some of the levels too...nice touch!
