I bought two of these for my coin door:
(http://happ.com/images/40/42051703.jpg) (http://happ.com/cc/420517xx.htm)
But they don't fit. The coin door I have looks like this. I don't know if you can see from the pictures:

The problem is the little metal piece that holds the post onto the button won't fit through the opening in the coin door bracket to push the reject lever on the coin mech. Anyone know which reject buttons I need and where I can get them? I can take some pics of my door and the problem if that would help.

I'm having the same problem with mine...mine was made by a company called "Coin Controls" I believe they went bankrupt but any info would be helpful. (Looking to buy a new reject button with a 25 cent insert and properly sized)
And also Brad, it would be good if you also said your coin door manufacturer (if you can figure it out)

looks like the same coin mech. in my williams coin door. if so then check out lizardlick.com

OH WOW this helps me out so much! Thanks a lot.

I don't know the manufacturer of my door, but thanks a ton grbgemen because I have a feeling that this:
is exactly what I need (along with the springs there.) Those bezels are the ones that I have so I think that's it. The reason I think these are the one is because the coin slot on the side of the button is needed. The Happ ones are blocking that slot on my door.
Thanks a bunch!

Coin Controls was purchased by Wells Gardner who was then purchased by Happ. So if you go to Happ's website you can get all of the replacement parts that you need.
-
I couldn't find those reject buttons however.
-
glad i could help.
from the happ website, i imagine these are it:
19) 891-1113-01 Entry/Reject Button 25¢ 1+ $5.40
from this page:
http://happcontrols.com/coindoors/8124150011.htm
but there is no picture so i cant be sure.

Bradc:
You have a Coin Acceptors, Inc. (a.k.a. "Coinco") model 2802 coin door. Coinco bailed out of the amusement coin door and coin acceptor market over ten years ago. Parts are very hard to find. Go to http://arcarc.xmission.com and download the manuals under the "pdf coin mechs" section.
-
I can get these parts for you, I have some in stock cheaper than what is listed at happ or lizardlick, pm with happ part # & quanities if you need a quote
thanks
dm

Happ does not stock Coinco amusement parts. I believe The Great Amusement Emporium and Competitive Products do.
-
Ken, that is awesome, thank you so much. I have been operating under the assumption that the Happ parts would work for this.
divemaster, I already placed the order with LizardLick. :( However if I find that I'm still missing something, I will definately PM you.
-
Coinco (Coin Acceptors Inc.) and Coin Controls parts may look the same, but they are NOT the same. Coinco parts are made in the USA and are made to US measurements. Coin Controls are made in England and are metric. Plus the actual plastic rod on the reject button is in a different place between the two brands.
-
So did I just mistakely buy the Coin Controls parts for my Coico door? Or were you just explaining why I couldn't find my parts at happ? At this point if these are wrong I'll bust out my dremel and hot glue gun, and make them fit!
-
Coinco and Coin Control parts do NOT interchange. As I mentioned the plastic rod is in a different place and the buttons are different size and shape from each other.
-
I have a two coin controls S10 coin mechs.
I purchase all my coin mech spare parts from swallow amusements, they have quite a lot of spare parts for arcade cabs. Ordering process is via a donate button on a payment page but you will need to contact them first to get a price inc p&p. Guy called Stephen there, seems very helpful, I just ordered some equipment wire from them this morning.
They have the new red rejector buttons for the S10, these may fit?
On a similar note, does anyone know if rejector buttons can be sourced for the coin controls S10 that are clear instead of red?
-
Happ Controls only provides Coin Controls reject buttons in red color only.
-
Well, the reject buttons and springs arrived the other day, and thankfully they're the right size. Woo hoo, something went right for me.
