I made a temporary marquee and noticed a couple of irritating issues:

Light is seeping out from the sides of the acrylic panels, and the edge of the wood inside is casting a shadow. I was thinking of using a strip or two of electrical tape to cover the edge of the acrylic which should hide things; or maybe cutting thin strips of black plastic. Has anyone else had this problem?
(Or maybe it's just the thin printer paper I used?)

I'm not expert in this, but here's an idea....
On the sides of the marquee, what if you ran a black marker down the sides. I'm betting your marquee display covers the back, but perhaps not the sides and that's where the light is seeping from?
That makes sense?

AH ... indeed it does, thank you for the tip!

Normally, I design and have my marquee printed up approximately 1/4 - 1/2" wider than I need. The extra amount folds back over the plexi on each side and blocks any light that may try to seep out.
