Title: T stick or E stick?
Post by: crashdmj on May 26, 2003, 05:34:52 pm
Ok I have a 4player panel. Players 3  1  2  4
Players 1 and 2 are P360s so what should I make player 3 and 4's?
I want to choose between an E or T stick because 1) you can get them in black (will match player 1 and 2) and 2) Because they can be converted to a 4-way (which I want on my cab but didnt want to place a seperate 4 way in addition to the other 4 joysticks--would be to cluttered!) So which one do you think?

Also is it easy as Ultimarc's website says--literally a switch? So I just open my panel up (will be hinged to open with ease) and flip a switch and I'm done?
Thank you for all your replies.
Derek

The T-stick has the 4/8 way switch, but the E-stick does not.  The E-Stick switches by reaching underneath and rotating a switchplate.  See here (http://www.arcadecontrols.org/yabbse/index.php?board=1;action=display;threadid=5544;start=msg37945#msg37945) for more info.

Ok thanks Sasquatch! I guess that white portubance (sp??) on the T-stick is the switch so I would be able to switch it when I open the control panel, right?

T-stick may look better.  It has a larger handle and shaft...
I have both of them though, and each seems very sturdy and well made.  Both are easy to switch from 4way to 8way.  The T-stik with the "toggle switch", the e-stik with a rotation plate.  Also, the e-stik works well with q-bert as you can turn the switch plate 45 degress.
