i have a 27 tv tube that is 7.9.on the v and 2 ohm on the h and 8liners don't have any in at the moment but alva do will this chassis work with the tube CHASSIS 25" WEI-YA (V=9.6 OHM) 10 PINS
-
whats the horizontal impedence on the yoke?
-
2 ohms
-
thats the resistance not impedence
-
how do i measure to get the reading
-
you need an lcr meter to read impedence,
the problem is although your yoke resistance may come close to the specs of the replacement chassis unless your impedence is real close you may get geometry issues as well as width problems.
90% of the time you will be lucky and everything works fine, just want to make you aware of the possibilities.
the difference on your vertical resistance is quite large being 1.1 ohm
just don't want you to get something that may not 100%
i think you would better actually emailing alva with all your info, perhaps they can match a chassis better
i am sure this is the problem with a post on this very forum

thank for the info

By all means there are a number of questions that should be answered before a replacement board is selected:
- original part number of tube such as A68#####
- original part# of yoke
In many cases I can cross reference most of the rest, but not all.
If not impedance is most important, Circuitmate offers a very low cost LC meter for this (like $40).
- Pin cushion free or not?
- Curved tube or flat?
- Single focus or double focus?
- type of Socket. sometimes the pinout and rotation is different.
we offer replacement boards for many tubes but only after we get all the answers, after all if you are not happy, then we are not.
Hope this helps??
