Title: Legality of "Trading" one of my cabinets for a pinball machine...
Post by: ediblegod on April 01, 2008, 12:04:50 am
Well, I want to get rid of one of my "fully loaded" cabs so I can get a pinball machine.
Anyone know about the legality of "trading" as opposed to "selling"?
In the US I should add!

Thanks!

...sorry if this goes against anyones ethics or morals. I didn't build the cab with the intent for profit if that helps...

Why ask?

Just do it!

Technically, trade/barter is still a transaction - but surely, if you simply trade HARDWARE components, that's fine - any software that happens to be on there is his own business.

Or simply remove the ROM files and let the other party obtain them through other channels, leaving him instructions on where to put them.

Still - you should own all your roms!.
