Has anyone played it? Amazon has it on sale for $20. Looks like it could be cool, and I've always been a fan of Richard Garriott.

I played it quite a bit in the beta and it was a fair amount of fun, although not very deep. The quest system was very similar to WoW's system (guy with yellow marker over his head has a quest for you), and the combat was more involved then WoW, but it's definately not reflex or twitch based (just throwing that out there because in screenshots and videos it can look like a third person shooter, you have an autoaim that takes care of the shooting for you). One thing I liked was there were very few times where I had to grind to another level, and that was during the beta, so they've probably added a number of more quests, so you'll never have to grind a level. For me that is a great thing because I hate grinding levels.
Overall it was pretty fun, but I got tired of it after about a month (to be fair, I also only played WoW for a month, so I'm not exactly the best judge a MMO's longevity). Since it comes with one month of play, I'd say it's worth $20.

hmm, sounds interesting. I definitely like the idea of no level grind. I think I'm gonna give it a try.

I just picked bought picked the game up from gogamer.com for $10. Anyone still playing it?
I just finished the included 30 days with Age of Conan and decided the game needs more time to have more missions added and bugs fixed before I'll pay for a second month, so I decided to go back to Tabula Rasa. I figure it's been out more then long enough that any issues I had while playing the beta should be long gone, and it's hard to beat a $10 price tag :)
Anyone still playing the game? Any particular server I should use to create my character on?

I installed it and played for about an hour, then uninstalled it. I don't know if it was my computer or their servers, but the game was pretty laggy for me. On top of that, I just didn't really like the game that much, I can't put my finger on exactly why, it just didn't do it for me.

Are you sure it was lag or could it of been low framerates? Their autodetect video settings caused my framerate to be really low (which kind of feels like its laggy), but changing it back a notch fixed it.
Honestly the first hour or so I played it again it wasn't doing it for me either, but I knew I used to really like it, so I kept playing a bit longer and now I'm hooked again. Sometimes MMO's can take a little while to get into, although I know I've given up on quite a few after an hour that were supposed to be really good (such as anarchy online and dungeon runners), so I can't blame you for that.
Also, getting a little further into the game, I'm now remembering how the gameplays not very deep (which is something I originally said to you), so I'll have fun with it for a while, but I doubt I'll pay for another month. Still, since I'll be playing it for around a month, I definately get my $10 worth from it ;D
