Hi, I'm looking for some help with creating a intro video for mamewah (1.62). I'm new to the emu scene and have seen some cool intro videos on the web (DeLuSioNaL's Ultracade), but would like to create my own. I am looking for an easy way to make a small 2d movie that doesn't require 2-3 months of learning the program. I tried making a little flick with PS CS3, but it kicked my butt. Can you guys steer my in the right direction? Thanks.

Adobe After Effects because you can use filters on videos just like in Photoshop but for video. I haven't played with CS3 but I'm sure it couldn't be harder to learn than After Effects. There is a bit of a learning curve at first but once you've got the hang of the basics it's not too hard. Try doing a search for a video tutorial on the net to get you started.

Thanks, I'll check it out.

Anything that's going to give you decent results is going to have a learning curve to it. After Effects is definately a powerful program, but powerful always takes some time to get used to. I think you'll be much happier with the results if you look for a couple of online tutorials and follow those, maybe even look for one that's close to the idea you have for your video so you wouldn't have to change it around too much.

My buddy is letting borrow his tonight and I've been checking out some lightning tutorials on line. It seems to be easier to make what I wan't, than doing it frame by frame in CS3. Thanks for the help, I appreciate it. ;D
