Ok,
I know there are a lot of experienced people out here that can help me with this. I want to build a JAMMA machine where I can swap boards etc and have different games. Eventually I want a NAOMI system with GD-ROM drive but for right now all I have is Blitz99 On the way to me. what all do I need o get started? and how do the controls get wired? I have extensive experience with wiring up Mame control panels but this is new.

Google 'jamma pinouts'

Thank you. I will study these things

You'll have to get a video encoder to convert the cga to composite or whatever. That is unless you have an arcade monitor or a monitor that can display cga. The naomi runs at 31hz so you can just use a pc monitor for that.
-
The NAOMI is a want. But thanx for the info. what I have on the way is Blitz99. I did buy a video converter cause at the time of this posting all I have are LCD's I don't have a CGA monitor anywhere. I am going to the amusement auction tomorrow, I hope I can snag a decnt cab with monitor to put blitz99 in.

Ok, I am beginning my project today can someone help me out with wiring? The one on the realbobroberts is kinda outdated for what I am doing. I do not need an isolation transformer in the equasion. My monitor plugs directly into a socket. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
-
Just leave the isolation transformer out and the rest stays the same.
What kind of power supply do you have?
-
The Black Happs one. I was told also the inline fuse is not needed. Can someone put it in dummy terms. Step 1 do this etc. and give me a pic I could zoom in on or at least one I can see clearly. Thanx

If you want you can just put the field ground from the plug straight to fg on the power supply, and the other two on the ac/l and ac/n it doesnt matter which one goes on l or n as just make sure the ground (the big round pin on the bottom of the plug) goes to FG. and it will work.

not the best way to do it, but it will work.
-
That much I gathered looking at my Blitz cab. Ok can you show me where the on off switch get wired to please? thank you
-
you can put a switch on either ac line, or both.
-
So lemme get this str8 (you know I'm a lil slow) the on off switch can be wired to the same spot as the ac lines? Do I need 3 wires for it aswell or just two? Thank you for helping me
-
Something like this will work.

Thank you!
so that other block that Bob Roberts had I guess acts as a splitter? so you could split off ac to the marquee correct? One more question and I think I have it. What gauge wire does one use for this? The guy at radio shack looked at me all goofy when I asked what gauge wire do you use for AC wiring.
-
18 gauge wire should be fine, that's what I used. :)
