Title: question about front-ends
Post by: jakejake28 on May 25, 2003, 09:07:56 pm
i've built an arcade, have a fairly nice cpu, (1.6 Ghz, 512 mb ram, ati 7500 video, soundblaster 64 card) complete rom sets for mame.67, gens, and snes, and am running win 98 se. i am using an 1-pac 4.

but, i have little knowledge of software, and i come to u as a newb in the front-end world. is there a front-end that requires little programming, mulitple emu support as well as pc games, with decent aesthetics. i want to control it with my j-stick and adjacent buttons. can someone pint me in said direction. thank you for your patience.

I'm personally using mamewah at the moment, but I tend to juggle between that, EmuTron, and Lazarus quite often. They are all top notch FE's, and all have new versions in the works with a tentative release time of early June. The authors are great about support and question answering and they all support mulitiple emus. I'd check out all three and see what works best for you. I would also suggest not to make up your mind before the new versions of the three come out. They will all be easier to use and have fun new features.
