Title: How Can I Eliminate Duplicate Console Roms?
Post by: colonelsnow on May 25, 2003, 06:05:53 pm
Is there a program out sthere that I can use to scan by console rom directory and eliminate the duplicate roms. I have a cluttered mess as US and Japanese rom releases for the same games.

Use goodtools (windows)
It load goodgens and u set some options and it renames roms and splits them to a number of dir's including jap , dupes , {1} perfect and USA etc.
Then delete the rom directories u dont want.Works good :o

Could you give me a sample command line for sorting them into directories?

Thanks

try this:

http://www.holymonkey.com/emuworld/good.html

theres a link to goodwindows frontend at bottom which makes it easier to run goodtools and all the options.you just check one of the options and it happens. As always back up your console roms just in case
