Title: Silver strike Bowling
Post by: itstonye on March 23, 2008, 09:29:59 pm
I'm interested in any information about a rom set for silver strike bowling. I don't know anyone who has one, i know i have never had one. I'm finally building a full size upright arcade and i want to put a trackball in it to play silver strike then i checked my some set and mame doesn't support silver strike.

Are there any PC alternatives, similar to silver strike i could load.

does anyone know why mame doesn't support silver strike.

the game was made in 2004, mame wont support it for probably another couple years I would assume. Buy the board for the game. thats about it.

Even if some one dumped the ROM set, you will either have to wait for the MAME devs to start supporting it in MAME (several years) and/or wait till PCs get fast enough processors to actually run a game that current (again, several years).

You could buy a boardset and a ROM reader and dump them yourself, but I doubt that will do you any good, unless you want to tackle the MAME development to support the game...

Silver Strike runs the nighhawk hardware and uses a hard drive, so give up the idea of it working under mame any time soon. The easy way would be just play world class bowling-thats a great game that plays close to it.
