Title: arcade monitor question

My buddy has a Hang on arcade game and when its turned on

The monitor just shows a band of color across the center of the screen, about 1" tall.


Is this a monitor issue? rom board issue? If its the monitor is it dead or is it an easy fix ?

Sounds like a vertical collapse issue.

Does the game still play normally ?
(aside from the monitor issue)
