Title: Nulldc emulator controls
Post by: Danny R on March 22, 2008, 02:47:50 pm
I've gotten nulldc running on my computer and it seems to show the games beautifully.  Only problem is I'm having some trouble getting my controller configured correctly.   It appears I'm missing a control on my controller thats not yet mapped correctly.

I've tried both with and without xpadder and mapped every function to a button, and they seem to work, but some games just seem to be missing some control.

The first game is Soul Reaver, LoC.  The game starts up and I can hit the start button and get it started, but it asks a Yes/No question right at the beginning and none of my controls seem to allow me to actually choose one or the other.  I can select either, but not actually do the equivalent of hitting enter to force the game to actually choose.  Start doesn't do it, nor do any of the fire/trigger/d-pad or joystick controls.  Is there some other keypress I need to map to my controller to get past this that I'm missing?

Second game is House of the Dead 2.  I can get the game running, aim the gun using my controller, start and pause it using the start button, but just can't seem to shoot.

So I guess the question I need to know is what keystrokes each of these games needs so I can map it to my controller properly.  I'm guessing I'm just missing a simple one.

I started up "House of the Dead 2" and was able to move the crosshairs using the Digital keys (default mapping is I,J,K,L) and can fire using the A-Button (default mapping is "V" key).

As a side question ...... can you play "House of the Dead 2" with an ActLabs lightgun?  The mouse does not seem to move the crosshairs at all.  How do I tell NullDC to use the mouse for lightgun games?
