Title: Need info on converting a Horizontal Nintendo Cabinet To Vertical
Post by: barrel_hopper on March 16, 2008, 07:22:51 pm
 ;D

I should be picking up a Horizontal Nintendo cabinet in less than a month and I was to restore it to a mint DK cabinet or maybe even a multicab with all the DK artwork.

my question is this. The cabinet is/was a Popeye cabinet. I know what parts I need to get from Mikesarcade.com but what I am wondering will a Popeye cabinet have the mounting tabs to make it vertical as well or will I need order them from somewhere? Or do I need to order the correct monitor all together? I hope I don't have to do that last one.

I need all the info I can get here...I am very excited about having a nice DK style cabinet to go with my JR cabinet!

This hobby is getting very addictive!!!

I think next I will have to do the obligatory MS Pac Man...I really prefer JR Pac Man.

Any info would be great guys!

You may not have the mounting holes for the top L brackets, but they are easy to drill.  Your monitor, if it is a Sanyo EZV or a Sharp XM-2001N should have the correct tabs on it for mounting it vertical.

So, all you should need is the L Brackets, horizontal cross bar and the lower monitor mount.

MONMNTN, MONLBRKTSN and a MONXBARN should do it.

Best,
