I now have a NFL Blitz 2000/NBA showtime on NBC machine. I have 49 way joysticks. I have one little problem, I need The I-40 boards and whatever else to make the joysticks work with the game. At the time of this posting I have been unsuccsesful. I put in the part number over on the Happs site and all I get in return are links to purchase the joysticks and not the board.

How significant is the arcade from the Dreamcast? Are the graphics that much better? I always took it to be an arcade perfect translation. Just wondering, and if it is, could be a much cheaper route.
-
I don't know about the graphical differences, but I think the rosters are more up to date on Blitz 2000 Gold Edition, if that matters.
And I don't think the arcade versions have any sort of league play, do they?

I'll put it this way once you play Mame it's hard to go back to playing the DC version. 8)

I found a local vendor and am purchasing a NFL Blitz 2000/NBA showtime board. Any info on hooking up controls, LCD Monitor would be appreciated thank you :)

Hey DJ Infinity, I have an NFL Blitz 99 board with 2 49-way joys, hard drive and buttons. I bought the entire game, but pulled out everything except the monitor and power supply to convert the cab.

How fast of a computer do you need to play MAME? I have a dual core amd 4400 and it is slow as can be. Maybe I need alot more, I just wonder how much more. I wonder if the MAME team will make it fast enough in time for my "low" processor.

This is the wrong forum but I will answer your question anyway 8) You need a E6850 or a Q6600 OC'd to about 3.8GHz a 64 bit OS and run a 64 bit build of Mame in order to enjoy NFL Blitz.

Bump since the whole first post has been changed

You may send Divemaster a PM to see if he carries the part. He can get about anything from Happ and is great to work with.
-
It seems I-40 boards are no longer made and happs doesn't carry them :hissy: I guess I'll have to use Supers the upside of this is I can use my last 2 lighted joysticks for this. I also have an order in for 6 Electric Ice Buttons which I will hardwire to red white and blue.

I have a spare I-40 board. I had been planning to use it with a 3rd board (so I wouldn't have to swap ROMs/HDD to swap 97/99/2k), but I only have 2 boards and don't know that I have a reason to get a 3rd, and I don't know that I'd use the 3rd I-40 even if I had a 3rd board. PM me if you're still interested.
I also seem to have a glut of 49-ways for some reason.
-
I just pulled an I-40 from a stripped out Blitz 99 cab. The does appear to be some corrosion behing the User 2 plug (across a row of resistors), and I do not know if it works, but I'd be willing to ship it via Priority Mail flat rate for 5$.

Ok,
Thanks to MonMotha here is what I am looking to buy. A pre-made wiring harness for 49 way joysticks, a JAMMA harness with the Midway 3-4P connectors, and of course an I-40 board. He has one of these to sell me so if any1 has the other things please let me know. Also if you have a COMPLETE Blitz 99 with all the above minus the joysticks I am interested aswell. Thanks alot to everyone who has helped.
-
I also have the entire wiring harness from the underside of the control panel. This was from a 4 player NBA Jam converted into an NFL Blitz 99. 4 players, three buttons each + 4 start buttons. Joystick wires plug into the 49 ways and the I-40 Midway board.

Gimme Gimme Gimme Gimme :) How much? *EDIT* will it work in just a 2 player config tho? Also is that everything I will need? Sorry for being a n00b :dunno I am very new to owning an actual arcade machine. Ok still looking for a clean complete Blitz 99 to go in my cabinet also.

Ok,
I am now looking for a complete Blitz 99 set. Working boards, power supply, and hard drive and whatever else I need for this to work. I will try to have this mounted in my cab also. Thanx guys.
