Title: LCD monitors clickers randomly

I have a quick question, I'm running mala in 800x600 on a 20" LCD monitor.  If I'm not playing randomly I will notice that the lcd flickers for like a single refresh.  Has anyone else experienced this, or know a way to resolve.

if this happens only during periods of game inactivity ( no player input),  i'd disregard it as a game sytem glitch.
however, a failing inverter or ccfl's could be involved if it happens frequently...
make/model of monitor ??
