I wonder if any of you have installed this model of stick in a wooden panel. I know it's conceived for metal panels, but I tried it underneath 16 or 19mm panels and it feels even better than on a metal panel. The reason is that the stick is quite long. I have a scheme where you can read it's 88mm tall, but I measured mine and it's 78mm aproximatelly. If you take away 16 or 19mm, you get a total height of 62 mm and 59 mm. A Sanwa stick is 69mm tall (without taking away the width of the metal and the plexiglass). 69mm also for the Universal stick. 65mm a PSM/30 (Industrias Lorenzo). 68 mm the standard T-stik in a 19mm panel. Therefore, the height of the stick is enough when installed in a wooden panel, specially in a 16mm panel. Now, do you feel confortable with low sticks or prefer longer shafts?

You could always use the metal CP and a spacer underneath like this:

Oh well, on BOMBJACK I used .. 2 Suzo sticks / Omni-stik basics on a 14mm panel. Actually, 12mm MDF + 2mm plexi -> Mounted underneath = would NOT make it any other way! Works for me :) Never tried them on a metal panel, though.
No complaints from the people that have actually played on the machine so far? Must be "quite right"? The Suzo/Omnis' handles felt way too long to me, too .but I really love the fast response ;) I´m happy with the 14mm panel..
Good luck with your build
PS. Ajattelinpa ihan suomeksi heittaa etta vain kadettomat miettivat tuon suuntaisia asioita. Rakenna, rakenna. Rakenna, poika!
PPS. Perkele, ja terveisia INSMH:n ukoille ;) Edellisen vkl:n krapulasta selvitessa.. Ens vuonna uudestaan, jos hengissa ollaan....
PPPS: saint, is that enough? I'm violating something... Am I?

EDIT: Didn't find anything on using your own native language / mother tongue on the RULES ..? Must be getting old for real :(

These were on my panel for quite a long time, and that's pretty much how I ended up using them as well. On a 3/4" panel, a little recess for the plate with a deeper one for the "hump" and it mounted and played perfectly. The short throw meant that the hole could be small without interfering with the movement of the stick, which means the lack of a dust washer wasn't too big of a deal after blackening the inside of the hole in the panel.
It's too bad that the poor shape of the US dollar has prevented me from being able to continue to stock them (made in Rotterdam.) There was a 70% increase in my costs on them, and I'm not sure anyone will continue to want them at that price. :-\ Outside of that, they are a very nice stick.
