Title: Some games wont resize to screen?

Punch Out, the TRON games, armor attack...Tail Gunner.....all of these games (and more I'm sure) expand when I fire them up 4 times the size of my screen, I wind up looking at just the top half (Punchout) or the top quarter of the screen (the vector games).

I've got everything set to defaults and auto-size...

tell me, how can I get these games to just fit in my screen resolution (800x600)?????

Vat am I doingz wrong!?

Sounds to me like you have a crappy video card that can't handle the hardware strtching. Do you use onboard video?

Try setting "resolution 800x600" instead of auto?  Mame might be asking the video card for a res the card and/or monitor doesn't like.

ATI Radeon 8500, not overclocked, running into a TV via SVIdeo...so that might be the problem there.

I'll try reconfiguring those specific games to use the native 800x600 resolution of my desktop.
