Title: GameLauncher Config Help?
Post by: Misfit138 on May 23, 2003, 12:16:04 am
I'm just getting everything all set up with GameLauncher and I have a question for all the GL fluent people.

In the cfg file I see these lines:

next_emulator_key = 98
previous_emulator_key = 100

Does anyone know if it is possible to set these actions to a joystick button(s)? Similar to the line:

joystick_select_button = 0

Any help would be great!

Unfortunately, no, the joystick buttons cannot be used for next and previous emulators at this time. :(  Perhaps, in the next version.

Perhaps, in the next version.

That would be a great addition - it would help those of us hacking a gamepad imensely. Right now - I have no choice but to whip out the keyboard to play a different emulator.

If you haven't already, please take the Game Launcher survey, as it will help me determine what's in the (possibly) next version:

I used to really want this feature to (when I had a MS sidewinder gamepad hack)... but eventually I sprung for the approx 30 beans for a keywiz keyboard encoder (http://www.groovygamegear.com) and haven't looked back since =P

Not to say that it isn't a valid feature request (it is)... but to point out that sometimes the inflexibility of a gamepad hack can be annoying (for me anyways, it was)
