Title: WG 25K7401 monitor extreme brightness intermittent problem
Post by: Zanox on March 10, 2008, 07:14:33 pm
I am having a problem with an arcade machine that I just bought. I have tried it with 3 different sets of game boards so I know its not a PCB problem. The colors and everything are decent enough, but sometimes the thing becomes super bright and you can hardly see anything on the screen. It seems to happen when I lift or close the control panel alot and when im playing zangief in marvel vs capcom and trying to do final atomic busters and I make the cabinet shake a little. Im guessing something is just loose or there is a bad wire. I know its not the best way to fix it, but if I smack the right side of the cabinet it goes back to normal.

Any ideas?

Sounds like bad solder joints most likely.
