Hello, I am the recent owner of two Wells Gardner 25k7193's
I was just wondering what the pinout is on the circuit board so I can hook up my signal wires to it.
Also, it does have an isolation transformer, I know how to power it, but is there anything else on the circuit board I need to externally power?
Thanks,
Xb0x3r

If yours has a remote adjustment board, be sure it is connected before powering up the monitor. Make sure the isolation transformer is good and is connected properly before powering up also.

The link doesn't seem to be working :(
-
Strange, I was just there earlier today and it was fine.
-
Oh, it's working now thanks for the link :D

Ok so now I've got my monitor powered and connected through a hacked VGA cable, Now I'm wondering how do I get something to display on it? I've tried soft 15khz using "install 15khz" and quickres to get my resolution down to 640x480, but nothing will display :(
Any ideas?

BUMP ::)
-
does it flicker?
-
No not at all...at one point I got it to show some faint lines across the screen but that's it...
-
I may be missing this assumption but is the monitor actually on?
Is there a faint orange glow in the neck tube?
How are you connecting the "hacked VGA" cable?
Right off the top of my head I don't remember if this chassis is composite SYNC or whatever you call it. Ken or some of the other guys would probably know.
Also may want to take a look in the "Soft 15KHZ" topic.

Just to confirm that your graphics card is one of the ones that can be used in the first place. Would be frustrating if it turns out you are just using the wrong graphics card or something. :cheers:

I am powering the isolation transformer which seems to the the only thing I can power. Also do I need V-SYNC and H-SYNC connected at the same time? Right now I only have V-SYNC connected.
EDIT: For the Hacked VGA Cable I just used an ohm meter to identify the pins and then used the chart from http://www.mrsalty.net/arcade/monitor/monitor.shtml to help me decide which wires I need and then i just taped off the ones I don't need.
Thanks,

You probably need BOTH syncs hooked up. It'll likely be either both NEGATIVE horizontal & NEGATIVE vertical or both POSITIVE horizontal and Positive Vertical.

Nope, still didn't work :(
Any other ideas?

Ok I've got a question, should my normal computer be hooked up to the VGA port on my video card and the arcade monitor on the DVI port (with a converter) or vice-versa?
Also does Soft15KHz work with both ports?
-
Bump ::)

Oh, nevermind, it doesn't use both ports. But I still don't have any picture on the arcade monitor.
