I'm confused. I have some Happ Supers and I was wondering if I am supposed to mount them underneath the CP (and just fit the joysticks through 1" 1/8 holes) or rout a rectangle on top of the CP so that the lip sits in it? I'm seen both ways in some other peoples projects...

Does not particularly matter... many times it depends upon the thickness of the material you are using and the length of the stick... usually personal preference.
I like to mount them underneath, using t-nuts, then use plexi-art overlay... thereby hiding the mounting bolts.... plus if you mount them from the top you have to pull everything apart to get them out... from the bottom just remove the e-clip and unscrew the mounting bolts and your done!

I routed the underside of my CP to fit my 8-way rotary sticks.
I used countersunk machine screws that sit flush with the CP. Then I have the CP artwork and plexi overlay so there are no fasteners showing on the top of the CP.

What happens if you need to get the sticks off?? Have you fixed the screwheads to the CP somehow?
