I just got my Ultimarc Ultralux pushbuttons in, and got some of them all hooked up. They look beautiful, and they are exactly the look I wanted. But they feel very stiff. In fact, so stiff that it is difficult to press them rapidly in normal gameplay.
The only thing I have to compare are what I presume to be standard Happ concave pushbuttons, that were on the original CP that I am replacing. Does anyone out there use the Ultralux? Are yours stiff too? Is it the spring, the microswitch, or something else?
I would consider replacing the microswitch with something like the GGG Micro-Leaf (someone posted that they do in fact fit), but I want to know if that will help things first. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have some but I don't recall them being as hard to press as yours. That said, I have not actually used them in gameplay yet!
What type of microswitches do you have? It could just be that. I remember some Honeywell switches I used to have for example, were much stiffer than Cherry switches. Try the microswitches from your Happ buttons.

Honeywell FTW! (I work there, lol)

They are Sanwa microswitches IIRC. Good idea - I will try the Happ micros and see if that helps.

Cool!
Andy (Ultimarc) used to supply Honeywell switches with some buttons...not sure if he still does. I like them, harder than some to press down but they have a good positive feel IIRC.

I tried another microswitch, and the action was much better. I think I will be swapping the sanwas with something else... now I just have to decide if it is worth it to get the GGG micro-leafs, presuming they fit the LED bayonet holder correctly.
