I am setting up z26 atari 2600 emulator with mamewah 1.62. The z26 ROMs have some weird characters at the end of the filename (exclamation points, brackets, etc.) When I generate a list from Mamewah, these characters become part of the list. The game name don't correspond to my preview snaps, so I have to edit filename manually. Is there any way to generate a list that only includes the game name, short of editing the list file manually? Thank you.

What are these characters doing there? Are they Good-named? eg 'Game Name [J] [!]'?
Either way, set fuzzy_search 1 in your emulator.ini file - that should help display the snaps.
You can also use a custom list, and it will by default trim the crap off the end of the game names.

Um, a system developed which can manage roms using dat files. Usually using some software called GoodTools. But yes that looks like what you have - see my first reply, that should all apply.

Just an FYI, those [!], (J), (UE) flags and things are from the TOSEC naming standards.

In case of 2 languages or countries, use those codes separated by a hyphen.
(En-Fr) contains English and French versions
(En-De) contains English and German versions
(US-Eu) released in the US and Europe
In case of more than 2 languages or countries, (Mx) is used to represent
multiple languages. (M3) for three languages, (M4) for 4 languages, etc.
