Title: Scored small Cache of NOS Ms Pac CPO's
Post by: WunderCade on February 29, 2008, 02:04:10 am: Thought I'd share my latest score, 4 NOS Ms. Pac CPOs. I got them from an longtime operator clearing out his business. He said these had been stored away for a lot of years and he had forgotten all about them. They were still in a packing sleeve. When I pulled them out I was astounded, they look friggin' brand new from factory!

All four are perfect and new-like, vibrant color wise...in fact...I'll probably use them to color match when I use my Ms. Pac cabinet stencils.

Very sweet pickup..... The thing about the repro artwork is, that unless you have an original next to it to compare to the repro, you wouldn't actually notice that it's bad. On top of that, 99.99% of people wouldn't notice or care about that anyway. I'm not saying that we should accept poor repro work, but by the same token it quite often goes completely unnoticed.

Printing is a very strange thing.... It's as much of an art as it is a science. You will find some pretty huge differences in different print runs, even in original artwork.

Post by: shardian on February 29, 2008, 08:30:25 am: I can understand small nuances in repro, but DAMN that is horrible! I've heard that 2bits has bad Ms. Pac repros, but I've never seen a direct comparison to NOS like that before.
