Hey Guys,
I figured someone here will have an idea...anyways I have 4x7 foot horse mat type of rubber mats in my gym floor.. they have diamond plated kind of pattern on them..used often in a shop or commercial store. (photo attached)
I have been trying to get them clean with no luck. tried vaccum, mopping, Spray Nine, Armor all all purpose cleaner, floor tile cleaner and scrubbing with a brush. I also tried armor all which helped but as you know its a little slick for a gym. Does anyone have any ideas how to get these things clean? I was thinking of trying one of those bristle brush drill bits... I am am not sure...
Any help would be greatly appreciated it.

I don't get it. That doesn't look dirty. Are you trying to get it new looking? So long as it isn't covered in dirt and is properly disinfected (being a gym floor) you are just fine.

That was my thought as well. What type of workout are you planning for your gym? Wii Fit? :laugh2:

Dilute some simple green and use a deck brush. rinse, repeat if necessary.

Hey
never heard of or tried simple green...do they sell it in Canada?
Just so you know the mats have to stay put on the floor and i can't take outside to rinse..will have to do by hand.
thx

Simple Green is a degreaser, works great. If that doesn't make them look black, then you have another problem where some of the rubber has worn out and makes it look all crappy. Then use a product called black again, spray on, buff, repeat when necessary.

Hey

These guys seem to ship out of the US. Simple Green is teh shizzle, for almost any floor cleaning, and works well for stove tops as well...

Simple green, most definitely. The rubber black stuff you could probably get at an automotive parts store. It's a spray can.
