Post by: stephenp1983 on February 25, 2008, 05:05:56 pm
Which are typically the best for fighters the sanwa sticks or Seimitsu, and which model.  Also where is a good place to get the with the clear bubble top colored balltops?  I looked at lizardlick for the tops, but the colors are very limited.

sanwa and siemitsu are pretty equal,i personally like the seimitsu ls40 as its adjustable 2/4/8 way and uses standard microswitches

lizardlick is the only place in the us that I know of to get the bubbletops. Email them, they can get all the colors, they may just have a few in stock right now.

jlf is the stick of choice for fighters.

Typically people tend to think the Sanwa JLF is the best for fightings, and they like Seimitsu LS-32s for Shmups.

There are still plenty of people who use seimitsu for fighters though,  you can't go wrong with either

Arcadeshop.de also stock the bubble tops

Also, if you use a clear bubble top and mount an LED in it you can light it any colour you want.

I did a how to here:

Whats the reason for those particular sticks? Is it accuracy? resistance? or something else?

And how do they compare to the UltraStik 360?

The sanwas just have great build quality and a nice tight throw.  The seimitsus have an even tighter throw than the sanwas, so some people have issues with them on sweeping motions.

I still have yet to play on a seimitsu, but my impression is if you're use to a sanwa, the seimitsu is similar enough you wouldn't have much trouble with it
