Title: Nanao ms8-26su caps normal or not?
Post by: gatordad on February 22, 2008, 03:06:01 pm

I recently accuired a nanao ms8-26su dual sync and it has the hard white stuff on the chassis board similar to the one in this photo.

It works but was wondering if Bob Roberts cap kit for this monitor is necessary or if this is normal.

Thanks
GD

looks like the glue they put on the chassis, nanao tended to do this.so yes its normal, although i think the production worker on this particular chassis went a little mad with the glue :)

hate that stuff   :soapbox:
makes it somewhat difficult to remove the affected part(s) and worse, it tends to absorb moisture over time .
it can then become electrically conductive and thus, cause problems. i remove that crap every time i find it ...

just my $.02

mine have that all over them also.

I just got my 26su capkit in the mail from bob yesterday  :applaud:

a person had them on ebay for like around $18.00 shipped but there's were for 8 caps and they claimed it was a full capkit and bob had them for $15.00 shipped and it was a true full kit that included 30 caps.
