Title: Desktop Controller Housing
Post by: Infrasonic on May 20, 2003, 05:26:25 pm
Just wanted to post a link to my auction on ebay.  Anyone interested in building a 1-player desktop controller should check this out.

Why is that an auction? If you place a bid you only save a penny, as opposed to using "Buy It Now".  Didn't eBay just recently start a "Fixed Price" feature.

I won't comment on the actual item... I'm sure others will jump right in.

Why does your picture include the joysticks and buttons when they don't come with the auction  ???  Can't you take a picture of it without them?

There is a good reason why I post auctions in that manner.

There are links in the auction to similar arcade housings without parts installed, including shots of the inside.

What is the reason? I can't think of any that aren't rather shady, if you know what I mean.

He posts that way in hopes that people will go look at his website and purchase the full model instead, I suppose. Although it would be more "fair" to show a side-by-side picture like... "Buy THIS" so that you can have a sexy thing like "This"...

I am selling only empty housings for the time being.

Here is a link to my housing page:

Some people don't like the way I post auctions, oh well.  I'm listening to what you people are saying and in the future my
actions may meet your approval, but I don't seek it.

As far as I'm concerned, people will say whatever they will say, if not one thing then it's gonna be another.  If anyone has anything positive to add post it, but I'd much rather get comments on the product itself.

That's what I was wondering.  Looks like a good product at a fair price

Too much thread crapping on this FS board

I can see how many would be led to believe that it comes as a completed joystick ready to play.

Haven't we seen this all before?

I think that white T-molding would look better on there.
