Title: Older Mame Versions
Post by: TeutonicDarkness on February 19, 2008, 10:03:52 pm
I have 2 Computers 1 using all the Latest .123 roms.

The other is a old computer It plays some games ok
but others are unbearably slow!

I would particularly like to play Terminator 2 on
it. I have heard previous versions of Mame supported
old hardware and basic video cards.

I tried to download 0.36 from [romsite name redacted]....
however Terminator 2 was not available in that version.

I'm wondering if Anyone knows if there is a older
Mame version that supports Terminator 2?

Compaq Presario
500 MHZ
512 Memory

Or am I wasting my time and will not
be able to use it on a old system?

Thanks,

Just go to MAWS (http://www.mameworld.net/maws/) and search for the rom. It should let you know what version started supporting it. But newer versions tend to fix some problems on roms. So make sure you read everything.

Thanks,

however a lot of info there is confusing and missleading.
