Title: Any JukeBox themed screensavers?
Post by: MPTech on February 14, 2008, 02:53:21 am
just looking for ideas.
I was thinking about something real simple, just copy all of my favorite album arts to a folder and do a slide show for a screen saver. (I also thought about throwing in some pictures of JukeBoxes. Not real creative, but I was looking for something simple.

Anything more imaginative?  :dizzy:

If you go the slideshow route (like I did) then windows will automatically search directories within the directory you specify to find album art to display.  No need to move all the album art into one directory for a slideshow ..... unless you just want certain album images to be displayed only I guess ....

I use the money & fishes screensaver from uselesscreations.com. The good thing with them is you can still see whats going on with your jukebox whilst they are running. I also believe CD Display does album art screensavers, at least it can through the software im using.

(waveryder)... but is useless in MultiJuke, since it act like a DirectX or OpenGL game.

Anyway  have planning to add this feature after the Touchscreen GUI is done (which is most important). It would pretty much the same thing as destripted here.

Did XP not have a slideshow screensaver as well as I remember? There is such of screensaver built in Vista (a least on premium), named Pictures (as I guess, since it named "Billeder" in danish). But not checked yet in XP.

Sorry guys, you missed what i was asking for.
I'm not looking for software to display the pictures, there are dozens of those.

I'm looking for data to display.  Album art was my first thought (and probably the easiest).

I was looking for ideas. I also thought some kind of screen saver like the visual effects that show in Windows Media that is sound activated.  I'm just looking for ideas of what to display, not how.

Giess is like a winamp visual that works as a screensaver.
