Title: Where to get monitor brackets?
Post by: ivwshane on February 13, 2008, 02:23:05 am
I have a 27" tv I've de-cased and I've read that tv's should use the same mounts as arcade monitors. Since I'm building my cab from scratch I will need to find some mounts but I'm having trouble finding some.

Anyone have some sites or ideas where to get them, or even schematics/images of their design so I can make my own.

If this thread would do better in the woodworking forum can a mod move it please?

Thanks.

Are you talking about the monitor frame?  Or the brackets to mount it in the cab once the monitor is in a frame?  A frame for that size monitor may be hard to find, I don't know....but you could probably make one since the frames are just usually a thick grade sheet metal.

As for brackets, you can use cut down shelving brackets from Lowe's...

A couple of years ago someone (I forget who it was) here on this forum manufactured just the brackets you're looking for. And they were for 27" tv tubes too.
