I did a search for U360 template and Ultrastik template (I don't have Visio). Somewhere in my search a post said that for the U360 you could use the j-stik template. Well, I printed it out actual-size and it's not a match to the top plate on my U360. The j-stik is 3.7" x 3.4" which is just slightly larger than the u360 and the mount/drill holes don't match up.
Anyone have a jpg version? I've emailed Andy but figured this might provide a quicker response. Thanks in advance... the CP is comin' togetha!

I'm pretty sure the Ultrastik matches up with the happs joysticks. Try one of the existing templates for them.

Here is one you can try if you like.

On the Ultimarc website the dimensions it gives are 3.15 X 3.60.
If that's an ultrastik template why is it 3.15 X 3.77?

I could have sworn the ultimarc website has a mounting diagram for the U360...
-
I looked but maybe just not enough... and I emailed Andy so I'm sure I'll get this figured out. I could always trace around it but I'd prefer to have as exact an image as I can get my shaky-with-tools hands on...

It is the one I created for my cab and it fits my u360 as I cannot comment on what is on Ultimarc's site. Just Print it, fit to u360, and if holes match then use it or don't.
Doesn't really matter for me or someone can create their own....

Anubis,
I saw that but it's not an actual-size image.
Thanks, Kegger.

The problem with templates is that they are often re-sized by the viewing/printing software or by the printer drivers or printer itself, so always check before cutting!

Andy,
Thanks for emailing the visio file... I'll forward to my graphic artist and see if she can use it. I tried the J-stik template from the Project Arcade CD and it does not match up (printed at actual size) with my U360 top plate. I was trying to give my graphic artist friend everything I could to reduce the amount of work... but I'm guessing with the right dimensions she shouldn't have too much trouble recreating a working template. I'll definitely do a test cut/drill on another piece of wood before cutting into my actual CP anyway.
Thanks to all here for their help... looking forward to doing some work on the CP this weekend.

Andy,
Any chance you could upload the Visio template here?

Here's the file he sent me.

Thanks for uploading the file.
I was able to get my test U360 mounted by manually drawing the hole I wanted to cut. I'd like to have the template for my permanent CP.

I am trying to find a template for my Ultimarc U360 joysticks for designing my control panel. It appears that there is one in this post, but I am unable to download it. Does anyone have it?
-
Do you have the sticks now?
-
FYI the U360 has the same mounting plate as the Sanwa JLW. I have attached the JLW mouting plate dimensions from arcadeshop.de
-
Or if you have the sticks already, you can easily remove the mouting plate and use it as a template.
-
I do have the joysticks so I can use the mounting plate as a template. Thanks also for the JLW mounting plate template.
The one thing that I don't have and is not shown is the area that needs to be cut out for a top mount application. I can use the template or the joystick mount plate to mark the area, but when top mounting there is a section that needs to be removed for the joystick to fit through. It is not the full size of the mounting plate. Does anyone have a template that shows the area that needs to be removed? Or does someone know what size that is?

cmoses, I'm just doing a JLF top mount tutorial at the moment which you can apply to the JLW/U360. I should have it finished this afternoon. I'll post the pics etc in [this (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=90205.0)] thread.
