I am asking because my wife really likes the game Zuma on the PC and Puzz Loop looks alot like Zuma from what I can tell.
I would think this would play bad with a joystick. Is the game supposed to be played with a spinner or a trackball? I checked klov and it does not really say what the controls are just it is an alternating jamma game.
Lastly if it is a non-joystick game does anyone have the pcb they want to get rid of?

I think it plays with either. Not sure, though I can confirm it will work with a joystick.
-
I was thinking to get some level of control if might use something like a geared spinner
-
the games attract mode shows a joystick, I think that was how it was intended. It seems to work ok. My fiance and I love it.

I've only played it with a joystick and it works fine. Great game. Not sure why I've never tried it with the spinner. ???

I only have puzzloop2. It defaults to joystick input, but there's a way to make it use a "dial" by hitting F2 and setting it in the menu. Unfortunately the menu is in japanese. I have NO CLUE where the option is.

Maybe I will have to do a bit of looking to see if i can find a manual and see if i can make any sense of it. puzz loop 2 looks to be a 2 player simultaneous game which is kinda cool.
thanks for the heads up RayB

According to MAWS (http://www.mameworld.net/maws/romset/puzzloop), the cabinet was a spinner (paddle?). But the MAME input is an 8-way joystick. Attached is the CP pic from MAWS.

You can control it with a spinner. I use mine on it and find it's much easier than a joy. There is a thread somewhere that mentions that you have to change it in the options. Lemme dig and find it.

Here's the thread. Kinda funny that RayB knew then that it would play with either but can't recall for sure now. Old age man! ;D

Nice, I dont think I will be doing this in MAME but I will have to keep my eye open for the Jamma board. I think this would be a fun game to own. I think this will also help me sell the idea of a game room to the wife if she has something she would enjoy playing.
PM me if anyone has one and wants to get rid of it.

doesnt matter my GF whips the crap out me when we play that.

My wife is completely addicted to Zuma since I moved the Mame cab out of the house :D
Puzz loop was a fun game on it, but without a spinner.....too hard to control....
